“On 30 August, on my birthday, God told me to visit the local Hospice to see a 77-year-old Scotsman who had been told he had three months to live. I asked him if he knew that he would certainly go to heaven if he died? He replied, “I don’t know; I only wish someone could answer that very important question for me.” I asked permission to answer that question for him. We had an excellent discussion for an hour. I presented the gospel as clearly as I could. He told me he had never heard that wonderful message in a lifetime. He had been brought up in the church but been turned off for a number of good reasons. What a joy it was for me to see him in tears, praying to God, repenting of his sins and inviting Jesus Christ to come into his life as Lord and Saviour. Praise God, that’s the best birthday I have ever had!”
